Community Centos
Last month, we invited you to try a cento activity for the Every Day Poems poetry club. And today we want to share two centos from the community.
The first is a fun simple collage cento, from Tricia Stohr-Hunt…
The second piece, by Bethany Rohde, was created in a journal using some light collage on the side…
We hope you enjoyed these community centos!
What’s Next? November Poetry Club Prompt
Your November poetry club activity is to craft a mandala using some of the most centering Every Day Poems lines you’ve encountered (and want to make your own by memorizing). If you need ideas for lines, check out your community Dip Into Poetry picks.
You can make your mandala complex or super simple.
Here’s our sample, using three options for presentation:
Option 1 • Simplest Mandala
Put your lines in a circle. Repeat them as many times as it takes to fill the circle.
Option 2 • Simple Mandala
After creating your simplest mandala, complexify it just a bit by drawing an image around it. You can include some of the traditional mandala symbols if you like (we included triangles, for instance).
Option 3 • All-Out Mandala
Use our easy instructions for an all-out mandala to get creative with your chosen lines. Include traditional mandala symbols and images that are personally meaningful.
How to Possibly Be Featured
