Last week, we posted a review and giveaway for Prayers of a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke, in a new translation by Mark Burrows published by Paraclete Press. The giveaway, we said, would be random. Thirty-five people left comments (Rilke is popular!).
My randomness was itself very random. I asked three people with no connection to TweetSpeak Poetry to pick a number between 0 and 36. Then I averaged the three numbers, and determined which comment was the closest to the average number.
It turns out that our giveaway winner is Glenda Walker. Congratulations, Glenda! If you can send your mailing address to my email – gyoung9751@aol.com – I will put Rilke in the mail and speed him on his way to you.
Thanks to all for reading and commenting.
