We love our Tweetspeak community — and we love hearing from you about how you love our Tweetspeak community. Recently Leah Downs shared with us about the benefits of participating, even when you can’t quite participate directly.
People like me get to “eavesdrop” and keep a pulse on creativity when we don’t have time to write ourselves. I was more actively engaged a few months back but I’ve got three little ones – now that they’re home from school carving time to write is more difficult. But since I’m plugged in to Tweetspeak, Every Day Poems and WordCandy on Facebook and Twitter, I’m connected to beauty every day in both picture and words. That, my friends, is a gift!
I also just shared your quote (and WordCandy photo) to my Facebook page because it’s so on the money. We do all need someone who delights in our words. I’m not blowing sunshine – I just can’t overstate what this community means to me. Whether I have time to participate or not, I still feel a part of it every day because it feeds my spirit (like most poets I’m a beauty junkie – it’s my drug of choice, food being a close second, sigh).
There are so many ways to play, learn and grow at Tweetspeak, from weekly prompts to Twitter poetry parties. Sometimes, we feature and publish work from our community, just like we featured Leah. Read a poem a day and play with us. Who knows? You might find yourself in Every Day Poems, WordCandy, our weekly writing projects, or even our upcoming Tweetspeak poetry anthology.

What I really love here is how you find you can connect with the community here at Tweetspeak even when you don’t have the time to actively participate.
Well, that and that you’re not blowing sunshine. Of course I love that. 🙂
