“You know this is true, right Reno?” I asked.
I was talking about how we *do* feature and publish people, sharing them with over 29, 000 readers, when they grow in their skills and connect with our community. (Check out how we published him in Every Day Poems, and he will also be featured in our upcoming app, WordCandy).
Reno first encountered us at Every Day Poems Facebook, and he responded to my you-know-this-is-true question with warmth…
Awww, but of course LL. I am so grateful for your encouragement, advice, reading suggestions and the work you put into maintain these sites. I have gained much momentum in a short period of time. A sleeping passion of mine has awoke to the very pleasant kiss of like minded associations which all began with me stepping into your domain. Thank You!
We love being a destination where people can play, learn, and grow. Thank *you*, Reno, for joining us with a smile.

“began with stepping into your domain.”
I love that.
Reno’s story is perfect. I’m glad to see his comments here.

Yes, I like that too. The double meaning there.
See? Once you start in poetry, you can’t help but begin to see it everywhere. Words just get all mischievous and layered. 🙂
What I like about Reno’s story is that poetry wakened other parts of his creative life and work. Pretty darn cool. And exactly what we would hope for here at Tweetspeak.

Another benefit: People like me get to “eavesdrop” keep a pulse on creativity when we don’t have time to write ourselves. I was more actively engaged a few months back but I’ve got three little ones – now that they’re home from school carving time to write is more difficult. But since I’m plugged in to Tweetspeak EDPoems and Wordcandy on FB and Twitter I’m connected to beauty every day in both picture and words. That, my friends, is a gift!
