Parent: [something something something] the Poetry Industry.
Teenager: The Poetry Industry?! [laughs hysterically]. Is that, like, poems? Who’s ever going to make any money on that?
The hearsay was duly shared with one of our editors who works in “the poetry industry” and this comic was offered up. We in the Poetry Industry think a sense of humor might be important.
